Liquidity Manager / Treasury Manager - LCR / NSFRRecruiter: Alexander Ash
For this top tier investment bank we are looking for a strong Liquidity Manager / Treasury
Manager to join a Treasury function which manages the Capital, Funding, Liquidity Risk and
Funds Transfer Pricing of the Banking Group, whilst also housing the market access
activities associated with the prudential funding needs of the bank.
The candidate will be responsible for further development and implementation of the
liquidity management and funds transfer pricing framework in relation to the Bank's
portfolio of businesses. There will be a particular emphasis upon the activities and
liquidity risks associated with the Global Markets division, spanning a wide range of asset
classes, including: Fixed Income, Rates, Emerging Markets, Equities, Prime Finance,
Structured and Portfolio lending.
Located within the Global Liquidity Management and Funds Transfer Pricing team, the role
supports holistic, cross-product development of the bank's liquidity risk management
framework. This includes input to internal models, regulatory metrics, business planning and
advisory, in addition to funds transfer pricing policy and application. Overall, the team is
responsible for ensuring that the framework for identifying measuring and managing risk
operates effectively and supports the steering of resource within the context of business
strategy. The role demands a high level of commercial awareness, technical risk expertise
and the ability to build relationships and manage a wide variety of stakeholders, including:
Regulatory Reporting, Interpretations, Risk, Business Heads, Regulators and the Treasury
ExCo. The role does not have a specific daily reporting output; rather it involves constant
exploration of liquidity risk management issues and partnership with businesses to
proactively manage the balance sheet.
Specific responsibilities will include developing new Liquidity Risk product models,
monitoring funding and liquidity requirements of businesses, developing Liquidity MIS,
working in partnership with Treasury Planning and Divisional FRM to effectively steer
business balance sheet.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience within a Treasury department or business unit / support unit of an investment
bank's trading division.
Ideally have had interaction and experience with fixed income and equity products /
Experience in drafting documentation to Board or Regulatory standard (e.g ILAAs, Internal
policy documents) would be useful.
Articulate with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work independently.
Ability to interface with business units and stakeholders.
